Camcor Plumbing — Repiping in Mesa, AZ

When repairing the next leak isn't the smart play anymore.

Repiping in Mesa, AZ

Camcor Plumbing repipes East Valley homes with modern PEX or copper. Permitted, code-compliant, and finished without turning your house into a construction zone for weeks.

When a Repipe Is the Right Call

Most homes never need a repipe. But some do. If you've had multiple slab leaks in the same home within a few years, if your supply lines are polybutylene or galvanized steel, or if pinhole leaks are appearing in different spots across the home, you're looking at a systemic supply-line problem — not a string of unrelated bad luck.

A repipe replaces the supply lines (the pipes that bring water to your fixtures) with modern PEX or copper. PEX is the most common choice in East Valley homes today — flexible, freeze-tolerant, scale-resistant, and dramatically less likely to develop pinhole leaks than older copper. Copper is still the right choice in some situations and we install it when that's the call.

A whole-house repipe is a significant project, but it does not have to be a disaster. We plan the routing to minimize drywall disruption, work in zones so your home isn't entirely without water, and patch where access is required. For homes that don't need a full repipe, partial repipes — replacing just the failing sections — are often the smart middle ground.

We don't recommend repipes that aren't needed. If you've had one slab leak and the rest of the system looks healthy, you don't need a whole-house repipe. We'll tell you that. When a repipe is genuinely the right call, we'll show you exactly why and walk you through the process honestly.

FAQ — Vol. 04

Repipe FAQ

Common repiping questions from East Valley homeowners

Multiple slab leaks in a short period, polybutylene or galvanized supply lines, recurring pinhole leaks across different parts of the home, or systemic corrosion. One slab leak alone usually isn't enough — we'll tell you honestly when it tips.

For most modern East Valley repipes, PEX is the right call. It's flexible, freeze-tolerant, scale-resistant, and dramatically less likely to develop pinhole leaks. Copper is still the right answer in some situations — we'll tell you when.

Most whole-house repipes are completed in 2–5 days depending on home size, layout and access. Drywall patching is a separate timeline if you choose to handle finish work separately.

Not for the full project. We work in zones and coordinate timing so you have water as much as possible. We'll give you a realistic schedule before we start.

Less than people fear, if it's planned right. We strategize routing to minimize access cuts and patch what we open. Some access is unavoidable — we minimize it.

Fair question — and one we ask ourselves before recommending one. If your home only needs a slab leak repair or a single line reroute, we tell you that. We don't upsell repipes that aren't warranted.

Generally no — insurance covers water damage from a sudden leak, but the supply system replacement itself is usually an owner expense. Specific policies vary; we provide documentation that helps with the claim either way.
